France has requested the holding of NATO exercises in Greenland and is ready to participate in them, Reuters reported, citing French President Emmanuel Macron's office.

Last week, the Danish Defense Ministry said that it would strengthen its military presence in Greenland alongside NATO allies, ramping up exercises there.

Russia is awaiting clarification on what US President Donald Trump meant when he spoke about American weapons "no one knows about," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, noting that further explanation is still needed.
