The charter for US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace for Gaza was signed by 19 countries and the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Board, announced by Trump on January 16, includes US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, former British prime minister Tony Blair and World Bank President Ajay Banga.

It follows a UN Security Council resolution in November 2025 supporting Trump’s Gaza plan, which includes a temporary international government.

Russian has been invited to join the board and is currently reviewing the proposal, President Vladimir Putin said.

US President Donald Trump has plenty of political savvy to see through and push back against his so-called European "allies" over Ukraine, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergei Naryshkin told Sputnik.

💬 "They are trying to persuade him that Russia is allegedly not interested in peace. But, as we can see, the President of the United States still has enough political acumen to not fall for the provocations from these so-called allies,'" Naryshkin explained.

The "Coalition of the willing" is trying to derail the peace process on Ukraine, with some European leaders pressing the US to become the main sponsor of the Kiev regime, he added.
