❗️🇺🇸 🇷🇺 The White House said on Wednesday that Biden's remarks on Russian President Vladimir Putin "speak for themselves."

"He was speaking from his heart and speaking from what he’s seen on television which is barbaric actions by a brutal dictator through his invasion of a foreign country. There is a legal process that continues to be underway at the State Department," Jen Psaki said.

Earlier on Wednesday, when asked whether he would call Putin a "war criminal," Biden first responded in the negative, but after a pause changed his mind.

🇺🇸😐 US Sen. Lindsey Graham on Wednesday reiterated his call for Russian President Vladimir Putin "to be taken out" and compared the latter to Adolf Hitler.

"Yeah, I hope he'll be taken out, one way or the other ... don't care how they take him out," Graham told journalists.

He said if Sen. John McCain were here, who was a passionate critic of Russia, he would back him.

This is not the first time Graham has called for assassinating the Russian president. Previously, Graham already claimed he believed the only way to end the crisis in Ukraine is for Russians to "take this guy out," referring to Putin.

🚨A teacher and a 17-year-old student were shot outside a Boston school and the shooter is still on the loose, according to police.

The gunplay in the parking lot of the TechBoston Academy around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday sent cops scrambling and forced school officials to shut down for the day on Wednesday, WBTS-TV said in a report. Both the student and the 31-year-old teacher suffered non-life-threatening wounds. Authorities have not determined a motive for the shooting, as the manhunt for the shooter or shooters continued on Wednesday.

“This is an unacceptable situation and we are going to do everything it takes to ensure each one of our schools, our parks, our communities are safe, welcoming homes all of our students deserve,” Boston Mayor Michelle Wu told WBZ-TV.

🇺🇸🇷🇺So, Biden claimed Putin is a “war criminal”, but let’s check what this really means according to international law and why it was preliminary, to say the least, for the US president to assign such a label in the absence of any reasonable evidence from international bodies:

🔸According to the Rome Statute, war crimes include “torture, mutilation, corporal punishment, hostage taking and acts of terrorism,” and “violations of human dignity such as rape and forced prostitution, looting and execution without trial.”

🔸It is in the power of The International Criminal Court in The Hague to initiate an invistigation and determine if war crimes have been committed, which the US Senate, as a national body, cannot do on its own.

🔸After an investigation is launched into alleged violations, the ICC prosecutor gathers evidence to identify what crimes may have been committed and by whom. Only after that, either arrest warrants are issued, or no prosecution follows due to lack of evidence.

Ultimately, do you think Biden simply heard someone on TV making this claim and just repeated it?

💢Six student golfers from a New Mexico college were killed along with their coach in a fiery collision between the school’s van and a pickup truck in Texas, officials said on Wednesday.

Two other people also died and two more students at the University of the Southwest were critically injured when the private school’s Ford van collided head-on with the Dodge 2500 on SH 115 and 1788 about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, NBC News reported.

Sgt. Steven Blanco of the Texas Department of Public Safety said the horrific crash occurred on the two-land road about nine miles from the city of Andrews, northwest of Midland-Odessa.

“For unknown reasons, the Dodge pickup drove into the northbound lane and struck the Ford passenger van head-on. Both vehicles caught fire and burned,” the state agency said in a statement.

❗️Russian State Duma speaker says the US president and congressmen are guilty of the militarization & nazification of Ukraine and need to be brought to justice
“There is hysteria in Washington. From senators to the president. The reasons are obvious: sanctions against Russia did not work; society sticks by [Russian President Vladimir] Putin; Ukraine is out of control; rising energy and fuel prices are breaking records not only in the United States, but also in Europe," Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin wrote on Telegram.

Biden is beginning to realize that he will have to answer for what is happening in Ukraine,” the State Duma speaker said, adding that the Russian leader had previously urged Biden to enter into a dialogue on security, but the US president did not consider it necessary.

🔎Former Vice President Mike Pence’s name should not be expected next to Donald Trump’s during the 2024 presidential election, according to his former running mate, who said people wouldn’t “accept it.”

“I don’t think the people would accept it,” Trump told the Washington Examiner this week, pointing to the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election and the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Trump, who has long claimed massive fraud took place during the election, also repeatedly pushed his belief that Pence could have overturned the election results during the congressional certification last year.

“Mike and I had a great relationship except for the very important factor that took place at the end. We had a very good relationship,” the 45th president said, revealing that the two haven’t spoken “in a long time.”

🔖 Idaho on Monday became the first state to adopt a copycat of an unusual new Texas law that relies on ordinary citizens to enforce a ban on abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy as a way of getting around court challenges to its constitutionality.

The Idaho House, led by Republicans
, approved the bill 51-14 and sent it to Gov. Brad Little. Mr. Little, a Republican, has already signed a separate law restricting abortion that passed last year.

The bill was the latest display of confidence from anti-abortion activists and lawmakers across the country.
Both sides of the abortion debate anticipate that by summer, the Supreme Court could pare back or overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that established a constitutional right to abortion.
