⚡⚡ Russian's MoD has published and commented on a document dated 6 March 2015 confirming the participation of the Pentagon in financing military biological projects in Ukraine:

▪ $32 million was received by the laboratories of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence in Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, and Kharkov;

▪ These biolabs were chosen for the project to study the pathogens of the Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever, leptospirosis, and hantaviruses (these pathogens have natural foci in Ukraine and Russia: their use can be disguised as natural outbreaks, according to the MoD);

▪ The project on the transmission of diseases to humans through bats: the work was carried out on the basis of a laboratory in Kharkov together with the infamous Lugar Centre in Tbilisi, one of the curators was Joanna Wintrall, the head of The US Defence Threat Reduction Agency office at the US Embassy in Kiev;

▪ During the implementation of these projects, six families of viruses (including coronaviruses) and three types of pathogenic bacteria (causative agents of plague, brucellosis and leptospirosis) were identified, they are rapidly transmitted from animals to humans and are resistant to drugs;

▪ Russia's MoD has presented documents confirming the transfer of 5,000 Ukrainian citizens' blood serum samples to the Pentagon-affiliated Lugar Centre in Tbilisi, while 773 bioassays were transferred to the UK reference laboratory;

▪ MoD analysis suggests that Ukrainian specialists are not aware of the potential risks of transferring biomaterials and have no idea about the true goals of the ongoing research

Russia's MoD reported that it acquired information that the documents in the Kherson biological laboratory were destroyed:

▪ One of the reasons may be the concealment of information about the outbreak of dirofilariasis – a disease transmitted by mosquitoes – in Kherson in 2018. Several infections were detected in February, which is not typical for the life cycle of these insects

▪ In April 2018, Pentagon representatives visited local health facilities, where they saw the results of an epidemiological investigation and copied medical records

▪ Due to the sharp increase in the number of tuberculosis infections caused by new multidrug-resistant strains in the DPR and LPR in 2018, more than 70 cases with a rapid death were detected in the Pesok region – a deliberate infection, or an accidental leakage of the pathogen?
