‼️Stop Deportatie uit Nederland van Egyptische activist Sayed‼️

Sinds gisteren, 24.01.2024, wordt onze vriend Sayed Mahmoud Mohamed Abdelaziz vastgehouden in de deportatiegevangenis van Rotterdam (Nederland) om op maandag 29.01.2024 om 15.00 uur vanaf de luchthaven Schiphol te worden uitgezet naar Egypte.

Na 9 maanden in de gevangenis te hebben doorgebracht in Egypte in 2015 en te zijn ontsnapt naar de EU, werd hij opnieuw bij verstek veroordeeld tot 15 jaar gevangenisstraf vanwege zijn politieke oppositie. Zijn broer werd gedood tijdens de Egyptische revolutie. Desondanks heeft de nieuwe rechtse regering in Nederland zijn asielaanvraag afgewezen en wil hem uitzetten naar Egypte waar hij zeker gemarteld zal worden, willekeurig geweld zal ondergaan en gevangen zal worden gezet.

‼️ Stoppt die Abschiebung des ägyptischen Aktivisten Sayed aus den Niederlanden‼️

Unser Freund Sayed Mahmoud Mohamed Abdelaziz befindet sich seit gestern, 24.01.2024, im Abschiebegefängnis Rotterdam (Niederlande) und soll am Montag, 29.01.2024, um 15 Uhr vom Flughafen Schiphol nach Ägypten abgeschoben werden.

Nachdem er 2015 bereits 9 Monate im Gefängnis verbracht hat, floh er in die EU und wurde aufgrund seiner politischen Opposition erneut in Abwesenheit zu 15 Jahren Haft verurteilt. Sein Bruder wurde während der ägyptischen Revolution getötet. Trotzdem hat die neue rechte Regierung in den Niederlanden seinen Asylantrag abgelehnt und will ihn nach Ägypten abschieben, wo ihm mit Sicherheit Folter, willkürliche Gewalt und Haft drohen.

At 2 PM today in front of Amsterdam central station, a protest commemorating the Egyptian revolution anniversary and advocating for Sayed will take place. Join us, bring your protest signs, and stand against Sayed's unjust deportation.

Halting his deportation is crucial; it could subject him to 15 years in prison due to his political involvement. His brother lost his life in demonstrations at the hands of the Egyptian police. Please advocate against the deportation.

Oranienplatz has been a symbolic site for the refugee and migrant movement in Germany for more than 10 years now. The square has been the main site for ongoing protests, rallies and sit-ins, all aimed at drawing attention to the plight of people on the move seeking asylum in Germany. The significance of O-Platz for people on the move cannot be understated, as it resembles a place of solidarity, resistance, and hope.
