TO REST IS A PRIVILEGE: IN MEMORY OF SULTI

A year ago we lost our dear friend, comrade, sibling und child to the racist health care system. We wrote this obituary last year but only one year later can publish it.

Dearest Sulti, we love you, we miss you, we cherish your memory. We meet your legacy in each other and the people you helped us become.

On August 19, 2024, Sulti (27), one of the most important activists and people of our time, passed away far too soon. Sulti fought tirelessly against oppression and exploitation by colonial capitalist conditions and for justice and transformation. With their political conviction, Sulti never fought only for themself, but built bridges, strengthened communities and always found strength & hope in the collective. Sulti has ignited countless hearts – with courage, resistance and a deep desire for a just world for all marginalized groups.

Vigil for Afghanistan – Germany must not play with our lives

We all share responsibility: people in need must be helped.
This vigil is directed at German politics. It concerns our families, friends, and colleagues who worked together with NATO in Afghanistan. Germany must not play with our lives!

Right now in Pakistan, Afghans are being forced out of safe shelters and GIZ guesthouses by the Pakistani police. Women, children, young and elderly people, parents – all are in danger. Many have been injured. Is this the gratitude of NATO and Germany? No – it is shameful.

Despite promises of resettlement, they face deportation to Afghanistan in just two weeks.

Nous avons une responsabilité : il faut aider les personnes en détresse.
Cette vigile s’adresse à la politique allemande. Il s’agit de nos familles, ami·e·s et collègues qui ont travaillé aux côtés de l’OTAN en Afghanistan. L’Allemagne ne doit pas jouer avec nos vies !

Actuellement au Pakistan, des Afghan·e·s sont expulsé·e·s de refuges sûrs et des maisons d’hôtes de la GIZ par la police pakistanaise. Femmes, enfants, jeunes, personnes âgées, parents – toutes et tous sont en danger. Beaucoup ont été blessé·e·s. Est-ce cela la reconnaissance de l’OTAN et de l’Allemagne ? Non – c’est honteux✊🏽

Malgré les promesses d’accueil, une expulsion vers l’Afghanistan les menace dans deux semaines.

65 people saved, 3 children died, 1 person still missing. This is the toll from a rescue operation just some days ago, adding up to the 32,000 people that went missing in the Mediterranean sea since 2014.

To resist the current status quo and the world that is normalizing it, f.Lotta was founded earlier this year to occupy and repoliticize the central Mediterranean sea.

f.Lotta is part of a transnational chain of actions to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the summer of migration when in September 2015 people on the move showed us how to defy borders, how to turn freedom of movement from concept to practice.

Parallel to the main action south of Lampedusa, several decentralized protests will take place all over Europe and the world, as so in Berlin on the 13th of September.

🚨 URGENT: Free Gayenjoro!
Our friend and comrade is in the deportation prison, we need to get him out!

Dear friends,

Yesterday, on September 30, 2025, our friend was taken into immigration detention and transferred to Dresden. He is scheduled to be deported to Gambia on October 15th via a charter flight from Frankfurt am Main airport. Departure 20:30 with Freebird Airlines.

This is not just an attack on him — it's an attack on all who fight for a life in dignity and safety. It is an attack on human rights.

For the past three years, our friend has been tirelessly fighting for his right to stay. He has been a strong, clear, and courageous voice within SoliMo — despite the many hardships he has faced himself. Through it all, he stood up for others: for those who were deported, for those who have no voice, and for those in need.

He didn’t fight only for himself — he fought for all of us. He gave us hope when everything felt hopeless, and courage when we were tired.

Now he needs our solidarity. It breaks our hearts to see him in this situation — but we will not remain silent. We stand together, and we will keep fighting.

We will do everything in our power to stop this deportation. We will organise a protest in from of the office responsible (Ausländerbehörde Haldensleben in Saxony-Anhal) next week tuesday (7.10.). Stay alert we need you there!
