“I don’t know man, have you tried being normal and good?”
Maybe don’t rage out on your way to the grocery store, scream at strangers and simply be a normal, functional adult. High stress, chaotic people tend to bring stress and chaos unto themselves, and then project that out towards everyone else.
Take a breath, realize you’re probably not the main character in everyone’s story, and go about your life.

During a violent encounter, under extreme stress, we don’t rise to the occasion. We drop down to our highest level of proficient training. Our brains release hormones that stop learning as everything becomes driven by skills already learned, not remembered, but procedural.
The question becomes how far down are you going to drop? If you don’t train to fight, you’re not going to “see red” and fight through the situation. You are not going to draw your gun proficiently out of the holster. Adrenaline, panic, and fear are going to drive your decisions and actions.
Train. Get in the gym. Roll on the mats. Hit the bag. Dry fire your guns.

The tragedy isn’t that evil exists. It’s that we keep pretending it is playing by the set of rules. We keep looking for a fair and honorable fight from men who are neither fair nor honorable.

The mindset of “don’t hit first” has probably gotten more guys hurt than any other self- defense advice. If someone is showing aggression and threatening violence. Defend yourself without hesitation and throw the first punch.
A lot of people are like this guy in the video. Loud, shit talking paper tigers, but why risk it. It only takes one punch to knock you out. One hidden blade to cut enough to bleed out in two minutes. One gun tucked in a waistband to end your life.
Don’t risk it.

The unprepared always call it bad luck when they fail. No brother, you were just lazy.
