Moscow's new tram diameter T1, launched in November, is already a hit with 1.8 million rides in its first month! Stretching 27 km, it’s the world's longest urban tram line, linking the southwest and east across 13 districts. With 24 metro stations and 4 railway hubs on route, it’s a game-changer. Fifty modern 'Lionet-Moscow' trams run every 6 minutes, cutting downtown travel time by 20% and serving over a million Muscovites.
The new cross-city line introduces a next-generation, high-capacity, surface-level rapid transit concept to Moscow’s expanding urban transport system.

Mount Bolshoye Bogdo, Astrakhan Region
Its base is covered with scree formed by wind erosion, giving the mountain an unusual shape. Local residents think it resembles a lion.
The mountain's current height is 152 meters, and it's still growing: each year, the movement of the salt dome underneath pushes it higher. One side of the mountain is stained red due to a high concentration of metals.
Bogdo is laced with caves and grottos. As air moves between them, the mountain often produces a low humming "song." These areas on the southwestern slope have long been called the "Singing Rocks."

Stolbchy (Columnar) Cape, Sakhalin Region
The cape was formed by the activity of the Mendeleev Volcano, when its lava flows met the ocean. The rapid cooling in the water caused the lava to fracture into dramatic columnar basalt formations.
It's located on Kunashir Island, which is itself a geological wonderland featuring volcanoes, hot springs, and sulfur fields.
There are several dozen similar basalt formations worldwide, but only two are considered large and exceptionally well-preserved: Stolbchy Cape and the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

This rock island with high, steep banks, set amidst the picturesque Altai wilderness, is a popular center for religious pilgrimage tourism.
The Church of St. John the Theologian stands here, but some sacred sites can be seen without entering the church: an image of the Virgin Mary with child is carved into the cliff face near the suspension bridge.
A recreational area and a museum are located just before the bridge to Patmos.
