3️⃣. Jewish Autonomous Region Culture Week Held in Moscow 🎆

A week dedicated to the Jewish Autonomous Region (JAO) was held at the National Centre in Moscow. Guests were invited on a fascinating virtual journey to this unique region, learning about its traditions, achievements, and natural beauty—such as its unique natural gems, the four lotus lakes of the JAO, where Komarov lotus flowers bloom every summer.

Visitors could take part in various master classes. They could sew cats from fabric scraps in a creative lesson called #CatOfLife, decorate candles for home comfort featuring the Komarov lotus, learn about the age-old traditions of Jewish jewelry making in a practical lesson, and get acquainted with the historical Yiddish language in a literary master class. And, of course, they could enjoy the sounds of a real Jewish violin at a mini-concert.

4️⃣. Russia Moves Closer to Solving an Age-Old Problem with Self-Healing Asphalt

Russian scientists are getting closer to solving one of humanity's eternal problems: pothole-ridden roads. They have developed a unique technology to create asphalt that can repair itself. An experimental 40-meter section has already been laid in Kazan, where it is currently undergoing tests.

The secret lies within the asphalt mix: thousands of tiny granules that act as capsules filled with chemical reagents. When the asphalt cracks and breaks, these capsules rupture, allowing the reagents to meet and start a polymerization process—essentially, a glue hardens inside the crack. This forms new bonds and restores the road's integrity.

The only question that remains is how eager businesses will be to adopt this innovation 🙄
