One year ago today, Parukh and Karaglukh of Artsakh became occupied by Azerbaijan.

This illegal occupation by Azerbaijan is a gross violation of the Tripartite Statement of Nov 9, 2020.

The lack of accountability has allowed for Azerbaijan to continue with its aggressive crimes against humanity and the current humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.

In the meantime, Azerbaijan has spent the last year destroying the Armenian cultural heritage in Parukh and Karaglukh and resorting to open falsifications. The region is important for its unique historical-cultural and historical-natural environment.

According to the Artsakh government list of immovable monuments of culture and history, about 20 monuments are officially registered in the above-mentioned territories, including 2 churches (one of them is the 13th century Holy Mother of God church), the famous Shikakar-Karaglukh fortress, cultural monuments of archeological value, cemeteries, khachkars, tombstones.

BREAKING: The armed forces of Azerbaijan violated the line of contact established by the Tripartite Statement in the Shushi-Lisagor sector on March 25, gaining ground in the territory of the Artsakh Republic.

The Artsakh Republic authorities promptly informed the command staff of the Russian peacekeeping forces and expect them to take practical measures to prevent further violations. Azerbaijan's claim that the Stepanakert-Ghaibalishen-Lisagor mountainous road was being used to transport ammunition is false and was used as a pretext for their aggressive actions.

The Defense Army of Artsakh is intended solely for self-defense, and their existence poses no threat to anyone.

The Azerbaijani violation of the Tripartite Statement is a grave concern and should be addressed immediately to ensure the safety and security of the region.

The Shushi massacre is one of the darkest pages of Armenian history. With the support of Turkey, Azerbaijanis attempted to continue the Armenian Genocide in Artsakh.

Azerbaijanis massacred the Armenians of Shushi and turned the town to an inferno. Their goal was to begin the forced removal of the Armenians of Artsakh.

A century later, the behavior of Azerbaijan is no different.

Shushi is occupied. Ghazanchetots is being destroyed, and the rest of Artsakh is under a blockade as they face an existential threat.

During the Euro 2024 qualification game between the national teams of Sweden and Azerbaijan, an inspiring act of solidarity was witnessed as the fans of the Swedish national team hung a powerful poster calling for an end to the ongoing blockade of Artsakh.

This display of support comes amidst a dire situation where for the past 106 days, Azerbaijan has blocked the Stepanakert-Goris road, thereby cutting off the people of Artsakh from the rest of the world. This blockade has resulted in a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, with the people of Artsakh struggling to access basic necessities like food, medicine, and gas.
