The slow killing crimes perpetrated by the criminal Zionist occupation against our prisoners inside its prisons continue, as the martyr prisoner Amr Hatem Odeh (33 years old) from Gaza ascended to the heavens as a result of torture and inhumane conditions inside the “Sde Teiman” camp.

As we mourn the martyr Odeh, we warn of the tragic reality threatening the lives of thousands of Palestinian prisoners. We affirm that the policy of deliberate medical neglect, torture, and depriving prisoners of food, drink, and the most basic human rights are nothing but systematic means of killing them, amidst shameful international silence regarding the abuse and attacks to which they are subjected.

With the martyrdom of prisoner Amr Odeh, the number of martyrs from the prisoner movement, since the beginning of the genocidal crime, has risen to at least 70. Among them are 44 detainees from the Gaza Strip whose identities have been identified, further confirmation that the occupation is flouting all international conventions and norms, as well as the provisions of international law and the Geneva Conventions that guarantee the rights of prisoners.

We renew our call to the international community, human rights and humanitarian organizations, and all free people around the world to assume their responsibilities and pressure the occupation to halt these criminal policies against our prisoners inside its jails.
