For several days, the Israeli army has been trying to cover up the serious incident in the southern Gaza Strip in which Palestinian Red Crescent members were killed by IDF fire. One of the army's claims was that ambulances and fire trucks arrived without flashing lights, so they were not identified. Now, a video clip has emerged proving this claim to be false.
This incident marks a very serious breaking point in the relationship between the IDF and the international media. The army and its spokespeople lied to the entire world's media in their initial response. The damage caused to Israel by this lie alone, even before the incident itself, in which war crimes were apparently committed, is immense.
