In the last 30 days almost everything got down: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Reddit, Twitter and now even Tumblr = all socials that implemented downgrades. Who is always up? YouTube, TikTok, Telegram ... again, the real social networks of 2023, focusing on improvements
More social and better for business: Meta stares down TikTok in short form video battle - "What makes Reels stand out is that it turns attention into action and helps to connect businesses with customers" = bullshit --> Over 50-100+ millions people saw the Willow Project just on TikTok (and obviously via TV, newspaper, other socials too), but probably less than 1-2% did really something (and this just considering TikTok stats). The same can be said related to other things. Sure, short videos are able to generate more action, because people have no interest to watch a 10 min video, but

1) short videos are diffusing bullshit too, because in 1 min there is no enough time to say all what need to be said (if the video is 1 min long, many are much shorter)

2) people are people, no matter if long or short videos. Most people give a shit on long videos like they do on short videos

3) female vs male should be considered. Just think the amount of girls writing "where did you buy ...?" and similar thing below TikTok videos done by other girls. Men don't do that and they even give a shit to such things, or just in limited way. So impulsive action after watching a video is especially done by women on short videos. The exact same things happen with Tv Shows or when a famous celeb is dressing something in TV, and women go crazy for this shit.

4) "a short video advertisement with music, a female or both a male and a female together will be more effective in increasing product sales" from "Effect of short video ads on sales through social media: the role of advertisement content generators" it's important to consider who is doing that. As this study confirm, things where girls (or better beautiful girls) are available get more action, because people at the end act "beautiful girl or famous star --> i need that too". TikTok is well know for this, since you can consider it as PornHub alternative ... There are obviously other topics on TikTok ...
Part 2: 5) yes, short videos are short videos. Looping short videos are simply cool and for such videos you don't need to use a lot your brain too, because they are more entertainment focused.

6) we still need to consider the goal of the video, which audience should be reached etc. So such things influence a lot too

7) the classic example are links in the bio. Most people give a shit to that, like we always see the results when we click on that and we check all single links such influencers are sharing and then we compared stats from the destination link to the amount of likes / subscribers etc on TikTok ...

So, yes in part is correct that people interact with such short videos more than maybe with long videos, but it depends from a lot of factors, how each person is thinking (there are even person that interact more with long videos ...), etc.. One thing is sure. Discovery of new channels is much easier with short videos. https://archive.is/3wqOv
Remember what we said previously about social behaviour of people (in the post about short videos), let we now check facts with facts, at the end you know we use just facts or scientific research. This is probably the best example we saw in years of social usage, where the difference is huge!!! PS: videos on YouTube are online since 24-48h, so is not because they just uploaded that few minutes ago...
TikTok, you can still learn a lot from other social networks (suggestions we already submitted to you but you simply ignored!)
This is AI ... 3 videos (on the right, but there are more) all pretty exactly the same, just with different Midjourney images, and sometimes a different AI voice ... promoting FAKE BULLSHIT STORIES done with ChatGPT!!!

When content producing is now just open ChatGPT, copy paste the text without verifying if OpenAI is providing you bullshit or not! (because people don't verify anything and believe every shit they hear or see) then uploading AI images to an AI service and basta ... this done by tons of people in various languages. Just a mass copied content, where there is no original creativity at all.

In this case promoting even bullshit https://perma.cc/5QWD-GWGP https://perma.cc/R4J9-JYRN https://perma.cc/T8Z7-HTH7 https://perma.cc/5Z5S-ES2A

Again #StopDieWelle @DieWelleTelegram and don't believe every shit you see! ESPECIALLY IF THIS IS AI GENERATED!!!
Now it's time to do a real talk about TikTok with this Triller example of Atlantic Records (11k followers) vs TikTok (almost 1 mio followers). Video results: TikTok 3000 views, Triller 170K - New post views on Triller 200 - 3000 on TikTok around 1000 - 3000 We see such things every day!

Again TikTok is not a magic pill. The algorithm sometimes is just shit, like human metabolism, where some people can eat 10 kg Hamburger pro day by keeping same weight, other cannot do that. A bit the same happens with TikTok, and we see every day again and again.

We already shared previously a similar example with a big influencer having mio of followers but getting just few K of views on each post, even if quality of the videos was good. Don't get false ideas just by checking stats from few influencers. Only by analysing all what is happening on social network you can get a real idea.

Since we are already talking about TikTok and fake realities let we share this video too, but is for German TikTokFreaks ... In English: 85% of girls had used retouching apps and the negative impact on their mental health can be significant https://perma.cc/KY5S-5N34

When going to the street is the whole opposite of what you are seeing on TikTok. It's a bit like festivals, where in the aftermovies they include almost just "beautiful girls", but once you get at festival, the reality is totally different. On TikTok the same is happening. It's a sort of Vision Pro / VisionOS, where people lose self-esteem seeing just "fake" people with filters, makeup, etc.

Why Triller, but even Yappy with other things, is killing TikTok on multiple features? TikTok (Yappy, Facebook / Instagram Reels and Snapchat too), when you switch to another tab to do your workflows, they pause the video / audio. This is not done by YouTube Shorts, Douyin and Telegram. You can use PIP, but is not the same and no loop mode ... It's simply so annoying such paused short loop videos!
