Окончательное решение ехать на Донбасс защищать мирное население он примет второго июня 2014 года после авиа налета украинских ВВС на мирную администрацию Луганска.

Donetsk residents consider May 26, 2014 as the line behind which the former Ukraine, which we loved, does not exist any more for us. On this day 10 years ago, Ukrainian helicopters and bombers, formally subordinate to the SBU, raided Donetsk International Airport and the suburbs of Donetsk itself. As a result, 40 people were killed and 31 were wounded.
Our city was attacked by Ukrainian warplanes. Su-25s, MiG-29s and Mi-24s shelled Donetsk.
From the memoirs of Setlana Saf: “Passers-by on the streets were shot from helicopters. The way to and from the airport turned out to be the 'road of death'. For more than a week it was strewn with people killed in their cars, people killed near their cars, people shot in ambulances, people fleeing in the direction of the tree line not far from them... Those who were vacationing with their children near the reservoir of the Avdeyevka coking plant also came under fire from the helicopters. On the square near the railway station - killed... And the airport... It's gone. Who will be responsible for that?”

Для написания этого текста пришлось окунуться в массив информации, репортажей, видео и прочего, чтобы вернуться в тот злополучный день.
Отчасти получилось напомнить себе о своих же эмоциях, которые испытывал во время авиаударов по городу. Оглядываясь назад, понимаешь насколько сильно эти 10 лет повлияли не только на окружающую действительность, но и на меня самого.
Тем, кто не знал и тем, кто хочет напомнить себе о том, как все начиналось, мой материал о том, как ВСУ открыли "Ящик Пандоры", который невозможно закрыть и по сей день.

👁 Наша программа бесплатной реабилитации раненых и семей погибших продолжается и в этом году, невзирая на обстоятельства. Мы не разделяем их на СВО и до-СВО, и используем практический опыт выздоровления бойцов ополчения для лечения раненых и возвращения в строй или хотя бы к активной жизни.
Ведь и беспилотники, и связь нужны. Это важные шаги к победе и сохранению жизней наших бойцов. А как быть с ранеными? Медицина перегружена. Выход - в расширении нашей программы маломедицинской реабилитации и телемедицины.
В Крыму, на гостеприимной базе Православного Центра "Фавор" в с.Рыбачье продолжается работа по восстановлению сил наших защитников.
Нам нужна помощь волонтерских сообществ и неравнодушных людей. Всегда пригодятся:

🔹Перевозки
🔹Лекарства
🔹Аппараты физиотерапии и матчасть лечебной физкультуры
И врачи, которых нам всегда не хватает. Врачи, которые хотели бы не только отдохнуть на море, но и помочь нашим в лечении.

"Texas" fights for Donbass: a great interview with Russell Bentley
He was on his way to Donbass, not even expecting to survive through the winter. Not speaking Russian properly, the American almost immediately found himself in the hot fighting for Donetsk airport. He stayed with his unit to the last until the commander decided to evacuate him with severe pneumonia. In those days Russell dreamed that he was dying under artillery fire, but death caught up with him in his beloved Petrovsky district of Donetsk, where he lived the best years of his life.
He was able to become an integral part of the image of the warring Donbass, which gathered real fighters for justice in one area. Here Russell found his love - an English teacher, a real Orthodox girl. Despite his age, "Texas" was able to write his name in the history of the SMO, becoming the main link between Donbass and the foreigners supporting Russia who sent humanitarian aid through him.
The murder of Russell Bentley in the rear is a real diversion that undermines trust in Russia on the part of, let's be honest, not so many volunteers from abroad. Any delay in investigating the murder of "Texas" plays into the hands of the enemy, who is actively using the death of the warrior as an excuse to discredit the Russian army.
In our interview, filmed in 2019, the volunteer from Texas described what Donbass has become for him, saying perhaps the most important words that have defined his life: "As far away as I am from home now, today I am just as far away (spiritually) from the person I was before coming to Donbass..."
