Missed us by a couple of days... 3 killed by the monument to the Liberators of Donbass. DJI drones can't fly there, but ukrop Grads can.

Longer-range rockets Boeing proposes to make using GBU-39 bombs + M26 rockets giving Ukrainian HIMARS/M270s a potential range of 150km won't be available until next year (at the earliest) and won't be available in large quantities for years to come.
It also isn't a capability Russia doesn't have in greater abundance.
For example, standard GLONASS-guided (GLONASS is Russia's version of the US GPS) Tornado-S rockets already reach 120km.
Russia's Iskander missile has a range of 400-500km.

Detalle importante: cuando se bombardea con GRAD, al ser misiles que se lanzan en grupo (de ahí lo de lanzamiento múltiple), no se busca precisión, sino cubrir la mayor cantidad de territorio posible. Es decir: hacer daño. En el frente se puede entender, en una ciudad llena de civiles sin combates en su territorio, no. Es un crimen de guerra.

Я хочу снова вернуться к теме мотивации. Вот мы рассуждаем о переоснащении и перевооружении, внедрении новых подходов и методов - и упускаем из вида, что единственное изменение, которое исключит человеческий фактор - это когда "вкалывают роботы, а не человек". Только в этом случае никто не забоится, никто не поленится, никто не заснёт, никто не предпочтёт личное делу... А пока так не случилось, чтобы извлечь из любых преобразований максимальный эффект - нужно настроить минимального человека на максимальный же результат.
Математика войны не предусматривает действий без вычитания и деления, как бы ни хотелось нам обойтись умножением и сложением. Никакая супертактика и никакие технические достижения не избавляют от потерь, и сколько бы ни старались умы и ни напрягалась промышленность - если солдат не будет понимать, за что ему рисковать и возможно - умирать, - все старания будут напрасными.
Война требует полной самоотдачи. Нельзя воевать в полсилы - можно кое-как участвовать в чужом военном конфликте, но когда мы говорим "война" - это значит, что проигравшая сторона потеряет всё.
Математика войны не предусматривает действий без вычитания и деления, как бы ни хотелось нам обойтись умножением и сложением. Никакая супертактика и никакие технические достижения не избавляют от потерь, и сколько бы ни старались умы и ни напрягалась промышленность - если солдат не будет понимать, за что ему рисковать и возможно - умирать, - все старания будут напрасными.

Nov. 29th marks the 81st anniversary of Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya’s death. She was an 18-year-old girl, when she was hanged by the nazis in 1941, as a member of a partisan unit. Zoya’s bravery became known throughout the country. Her final words were: “Comrades! Why are you so sad? Be brave, fight, beat the Germans, burn, wipe them out! I'm not afraid to die, comrades. It is a blessing to die for my people!”
...and to the Germans: “You will hang me now, but I'm not alone. There are two hundred million of us. You can't hang us of all. They will avenge me.”
Just before death, with a rope around her neck, she said: “Farewell, comrades! Fight, do not be afraid!”
Zoya was posthumously declared a Hero of the Soviet Union. She has inspired books and movies and has been immortalized in numerous memorials, museums, street names, and even in an asteroid named after her.
A monument dedicated to Zoya was destroyed in the city of Chernigov, Ukraine, on April 21, 2022. The nazis placed a rope around her neck yet again.
