how we met?
i met ravka during a workplace safety trip from my office, where i was supposed to evaluate welding procedures and pretend i knew exactly what i was doing. i panicked and asked if something was on fire. ravka just laughed and said, “yeah, kind of? that’s the point.” she explained what she was working on while i stood there pretending i understood anything and pretending i didn't just witness the most majestically beautiful welder i've ever seen in my whole life.

how we met?
i met you completely by accident while i was on my internship at a fashin company. standing somewhere i definitely did not belong, holding a clipboard and looking lost. you were there covering a fashion piece, dressed way too well for the chaotic space we were in. i thought you were part of the event crew and asked you where the emergency exit was. you thought i was a security and asked why the lighting was so bad. we both realized we were wrong, laughed it off.

“it’s not my fault you look like one,” you said.
“fair enough. i’ve got nothing to defend myself,” i replied.
“we really need to work on that,” you added, rolling your eyes as you looked at me from head to toe.

we met in court, of all places, on opposite sides like some low budget drama. kathani was the kind of lawyer who spoke once and made the whole room go quiet. at one point she said, completely straight-faced, “my client would at least put the murder weapon in an expensive bag, not some cheap plastic.” i paused, blinked, then nodded into my mic. “yeah… that actually makes sense. agreed to that.” the judge raised an eyebrow, my team stared at me like i’d betrayed them, and kathani shot me a quick look that said did you really just switch sides over a handbag?
