UK lawmaker John Penrose proposes dystopian idea to give citizens a truth score on social media

"British Conservative Party lawmaker John Penrose, has proposed an addition to the UK’s controversial internet censorship bill, dubbed “The Online Safety Bill,” which continues to get even more Orwellian with each new proposed amendment.
Like something out of dystopian fiction, Penrose, the MP for Weston-super-Mare, has proposed that the government forces online platforms to maintain a score of how truthful a person is, determined by their past statements.

The purpose of this section is to reduce the risk of harm to users of regulated services caused my (sic) disinformation or misinformation,” the proposal states, with a typo that shows just how much care goes into the wording of legislation that wipes away citizens’ freedoms.

The proposal says that every user that produces online content, including “comments and reviews” and who receives a certain number of online views, which is to be determined by the UK communications regulator, should have their content indexed and assigned a truth score."

Good guy, conservative leaning, but as most are in the medical field, brainwashed as hell concerning Covidhoax, the vax. He knows I am antivaxx and we have had good conversations over the years. He respects others opinions, etc, but he was telling people that masking up and getting the vaccine were good things a year and a half ago.

Random message today and we met for lunch. I was immediately shocked. He is 51, known him for 20 years. In a year and a half, from full head of hair to balding. Lost at least 20 pounds, and he was thin and in shape before, looks haggard and ten years older.

We ate and talked and the conversation shifted to world events, politics, etc. He got kind of quiet for a bit and then said, "You know, people are dying in big numbers. From something, no one knows what. It isn't Covid. But the death rate is up at least three times, probably four."

I took a second and then decided, screw it, and told him it was obvious the vaxx was killing people, making them sick, etc. I told him as I had told him before, that Covid is a totally overblown hype train and that they renamed the flu and cold as "Covid". I expected a reprieve, at least a snarky "Yeah I know you are a conspiracy guy" response.

Instead he said, "I believe there is something in the vaccine that is causing major mental illness in about a third of the people who have taken it. And I do believe it causing a huge number of the people who took it to have health problems. There is something going on with the situation that I can't understand. I am beginning to think that the government is not telling the American public the truth about many things. We aren't the world power anymore, things are turning to hell all over. I don't know what to believe."

I was so shocked I about fell over. This guy has always been kind but has never once told me he believed anything like this.
