| Cannot get colour swatch noscripts working on Mac?
Hi Folks,Since I joined r/unixporn I have seen some amazing setups and have been very impressed by some of the noscripts used to demonstrate terminal colours.I tracked down a lot of these to https://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=144011#p144011 and thought it would be cool to try them on my mac. Unfortunately, they don't seem to work properly in Mac OS Catalina but I can't figure out why.I try the same noscripts in my Manjaro VM and they work fine.I'm using iTerm2 on the mac and whatever the default terminal is on Manjaro. In both cases echo $TERM returns xterm-256color, both are using zsh and oh-my-zsh with the powerline9 theme.However, the outputs of the noscripts look very different.Here's the Manjaro outputAnd here is how it comes out on my MacBoth are running exactly the same noscript and on the Mac it fails whether I use iTerm2 or Hyper as the terminal emulator. Whether I set the #! line to bash or zsh in the noscript the effect is the same.Does anyone know how or even if I can fix this?
#!/bin/bash # # ANSI color scheme noscript featuring PACMAN # by pfh # # Initializing procedure by lolilolicon # f=3 b=4 for j in f b; do for i in {0..7}; do printf -v $j$i %b "\e[${!j}${i}m" done done bld=$'\e[1m' rst=$'\e[0m' inv=$'\e[7m' cat << EOF $rst $f3 ▄███████▄ $f1 ▄██████▄ $f2 ▄██████▄ $f4 ▄██████▄ $f5 ▄██████▄ $f6 ▄██████▄ $f3▄█████████▀▀ $f1▄$f7█▀█$f1██$f7█▀█$f1██▄ $f2▄█$f7███$f2██$f7███$f2█▄ $f4▄█$f7███$f4██$f7███$f4█▄ $f5▄█$f7███$f5██$f7███$f5█▄ $f6▄██$f7█▀█$f6██$f7█▀█$f6▄ $f3███████▀ $f7▄▄ ▄▄ ▄▄ $f1█$f7▄▄█$f1██$f7▄▄█$f1███ $f2██$f7█ █$f2██$f7█ █$f2██ $f4██$f7█ █$f4██$f7█ █$f4██ $f5██$f7█ █$f5██$f7█ █$f5██ $f6███$f7█▄▄$f6██$f7█▄▄$f6█ $f3███████▄ $f7▀▀ ▀▀ ▀▀ $f1████████████ $f2████████████ $f4████████████ $f5████████████ $f6████████████ $f3▀█████████▄▄ $f1██▀██▀▀██▀██ $f2█&#…

Intel says Maximum Heatsink Mass for LGA 115X Sockets is 500g, this should hold up that easily, 168g each

that would make 1176 grams, or 1KG, since there are seven of those

I'm pretty sure that would result in a very bent motherboard after a year or so because of the temperature going up and down and up and down, the max heatsink mass is there to prevent this from happening
Enough talking
