This is the image processing board in my 1,600$ TV. See that block under the PCB? That's a thermal pad to keep the ASIC cool by coupling its heat to the chassis. And its not touching the chassis. Guess that explains the damn artifacts on the screen...

I also only paid 10$ for the TV and a new board was 50$ so meh

The voice coil on my subwoofer scraped the magnet, so a gentle bias of the cone using the insulation of a USB mouse cable fixed it
