In a launch ceremony held at Skylight Hotel, AliExpress officially introduced its platform to the Ethiopian market. As part of the Alibaba Group, the global e-commerce giant, AliExpress is a leading B2C e-commerce platform.

During the event, which was attended by senior management team members of AliExpress, Ethiopian Airlines, and senior Chinese and Ethiopian government officials, it was announced that the platform will begin accepting ETB as a transaction currency in a few months.
