Coca-Cola’s home-grown mango drink Maaza crossed $1 billion in sales in India in 2024.

Maaza, like most packaged fruit drinks, isn’t the healthiest choice, but it depends on how often and how much you consume. Here’s what you need to know:

🔴 High in Sugar – A 200ml pack of Maaza contains around 25-30g of sugar, which is close to or even more than the daily recommended limit for kids and a significant portion for adults. Regular consumption can contribute to weight gain, insulin resistance, and an increased risk of diabetes.

🔴 Low in Actual Nutrients – While it contains real mango pulp, most of the natural fiber, vitamins, and minerals found in fresh mangoes are lost during processing. This means you’re mostly drinking sugar water with mango flavor, not a nutritious fruit juice.
