Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) of DRDO, in collaboration with AIIMS Bibinagar, has introduced ADIDOC—a revolutionary, biomechanically validated foot prosthesis crafted from carbon fibre.

ADIDOC, short for AIIMS Bibinagar–DRDL, DRDO Indigenously Developed Optimised Carbon Foot Prosthesis, is designed to serve K3-level active amputees—individuals capable of dynamic, everyday movements like walking on uneven terrain or climbing stairs.

🌟 What Makes ADIDOC Special?

Built with advanced carbon fibre, ADIDOC is engineered to endure loads of up to 125 kilograms, with ample safety margins.

It's available in three tailored variants to suit different weight groups and is specifically compatible with longer below-knee residual limb stumps, a feature that adds significant comfort and adaptability.

Despite its high-performance engineering, the prosthesis costs under ₹20,000, a massive reduction compared to global counterparts priced around ₹2 lakh.
