- India has entered the 2 nm semiconductor design race, one of the most advanced frontiers in chip technology.

- Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed that 2 nm chip design work is underway.

- A prototype wafer was showcased at the NDTV World Summit 2025.

- ARM (UK-based semiconductor leader) has opened a design center in Bengaluru focused on 2 nm chip architecture.


🔮 What Lies Ahead

- 2025–2027 → Strengthen design leadership & talent pool.

- 2027–2030 → Establish fabs with international collaboration.

- Post-2030 → Achieve end-to-end semiconductor self-reliance.
