Our TPUs are headed to space!
Inspired by our history of moonshots, from quantum computing to autonomous driving, Project Suncatcher is exploring how we could one day build scalable ML compute systems in space, harnessing more of the sun’s power (which emits more power than 100 trillion times humanity’s total electricity production).
Like any moonshot, it’s going to require us to solve a lot of complex engineering challenges. Early research shows our Trillium-generation TPUs (our tensor processing units, purpose-built for AI) survived without damage when tested in a particle accelerator to simulate low-earth orbit levels of radiation. However, significant challenges still remain like thermal management and on-orbit system reliability.
More testing and breakthroughs will be needed as we count down to launch two prototype satellites with @planet by early 2027, our next milestone of many. Excited for us to be...

The POCO F8 Pro box has been photographed.
The Sound by Bose logo is visible.
However, it's rumored there won't be a charging adapter.
As a reminder, the base Redmi K90 is expected to be released under the name POCO F8 Pro. The larger K90 Pro Max is expected to be called POCO F8 Ultra (if it's planned, of course).

🌏 Qualcomm & MediaTek Eye India for Chip Ecosystem Expansion
Qualcomm and MediaTek are exploring ways to source and produce more components in India as they are fabless, meaning they design chips but rely on foundry partners for actual silicon manufacturing.
🏭 MediaTek’s Position
- Open to manufacturing in India once domestic fabs and packaging facilities become operational.
- Believes that local chip output will:
- Improve cost efficiency
- Enhance supply stability
- Rationale: If devices are made and sold in India, chips should also be locally produced.
⚙️ Qualcomm’s Strategy
- In talks with Indian firms, including Tata, for chip packaging and testing.
- Already has a strong R&D presence in India.
- Evaluating manufacturing steps as local capacity expands.
🇮🇳 India’s Semiconductor Push
- Government has announced large incentives and multiple semiconductor projects.
- However, advanced-node fabrication will take time to mature.
- Near-term focus:
- Assembly
- Testing
- Packaging

Why GTA VI got delayed ?
Firings • Roughly 30–40 staff dismissed.
• Official reason: leaking confidential info via a Discord.
• Employee claims the Discord was for discussing work conditions and union organizing.
• Some fired were long-tenured, even on medical or parental leave.
• Process was abrupt: brief HR calls or escorted exits.
Current Studio Mood • Morale described as very low.
• People afraid to speak openly.
• Trust in management damaged.
Project Impact • Loss of senior talent raising concern about GTA 6 progress.
• Release already shifted to late 2026.
Disputed Motive • Rockstar says this was about security.
• Employee claims it was a move against union organizing.
Overall The situation is tense. Fear and uncertainty dominate inside the studio.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra
HPE (1/1.4", 200MP) periscope and new lens group
Engineering prototype with a minimum aperture of F3.0± and a maximum aperture of F2.3± within the variable focal length range
Let's analyze based on the available information
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra uses a 1/1.4" HP9 sensor at 100 mm (4.3×) with f/2.6. Since the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will use the same-sized 1/1.4" HPE sensor, we can use the 15 Ultra’s f/2.6 at 100mm as a reference—aperture scales proportionally with focal length
The ratio between f/3.0 and f/2.6 is 3 ÷ 2.6 ≈ 1.15
New focal length: 100 mm × 1.15 = 115 mm
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: f/2.6 @ 100 mm
Xiaomi 17 Ultra (long end): f/3.0 at 115 mm
The ratio between f/3.0 and f/2.3 is 3 ÷ 2.3 ≈ 1.30
Short end focal length: 115 mm ÷ 1.30 ≈ 88 mm (DCS gave approximate f-numbers, so round to 85 mm)
Thus, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra periscope should span roughly 85mm (3.7x) with f/2.3 to 115mm (5x) with f/3.0 using continuous optical zoom
