Here are a few realistic things for people & brands to understand, about durability "tests", be it Redmi, HONOR, OPPO or POCO (or any other brand in the future.)
- To the people, IP ratings and strengthened glass are meant to be only a bonus, an assurance to users that their phones are likely to survive accidental drops or water exposure.
- Brands should also understand that such tests as shown can easily become misleading to consumers. Like in this case.
- Glass is ultimately glass, and it still breaks. No matter the type or quality, glass remains brittle.
- Brands don't give warranty for water damage, but most people aren't that aware sadly.
