OpenAI has announced GPT-4o, a new flagship generative AI model that can handle text, speech, and video. GPT-4o provides "GPT-4-level" intelligence with improved capabilities across multiple modalities and media.
Key features of GPT-4o include :
- Real-time responsiveness and emotive voice styles in ChatGPT
- Enhanced vision capabilities to answer questions about images, software code, and more
- Improved multilingual performance in around 50 languages
- Faster, cheaper, and higher rate limits than GPT-4 Turbo in the API and Azure OpenAI Service
- GPT-4o is available in the free tier of ChatGPT starting today, with higher message limits for ChatGPT Plus and Team subscribers.
- The improved ChatGPT voice experience will arrive in alpha for Plus users in the next month.
