IBM developed a new brain-inspired #AI processing chip called NorthPole

The chip’s architecture is inspired by connections in the human cerebral cortex. IBM estimates NorthPole could be 25x more efficient than current designs using the latest manufacturing. In standard image recognition tests, it beat existing AI chips substantially on speed and energy efficiency
