The TON Foundation has announced in a strange news that in an exclusive agreement, all Telegram bots and mini-apps that use cryptocurrencies must from now on only use the TON blockchain to carry out their transactions, and the use of other cryptocurrencies is prohibited in them!
Telegram was the creator of the TON cryptocurrency, but in 2020, following legal battles with the US government, it was forced to abandon the cryptocurrency, and since then, at least in appearance, the cryptocurrency has been developed by an independent company called the TON Foundation.
But now, with the change in the US government and its support for cryptocurrencies, as well as TON’s re-appearance in the US, the two have become closely linked. In addition to the advertising revenue and withdrawals of stars that were made with TON’s cryptocurrency in the past few months, the relationship between the two has now become even stronger with this new decision.
