A Groundbreaking Approach to App Stability on HyperOS
When you encounter an unresponsive App now, please do not keep tapping "Wait," otherwise you might lose important data. The bug exist since 2022 (atleast) & is discovered by a content creator on Billibil.
To prevent key system apps from continuously having ANR (Application Not Responding) errors or crashing, which leads to the phone getting stuck on the boot animation or other issues, Xiaomi added a "RescuePartyPlus" feature on top of Android's original "RescueParty" mechanism which will attempt to self-rescue the system by clearing the cache & data. You can even find the official MIUI announcement triggered by this feature which dates back to the 2022 feature.
However, since its Xiaomi, the developers actually forgot to make the code check for whether the unresponsive app is a system App. So, after a user's App is repeatedly unresponsive, Xiaomi's HyperOS clears the app data 🥳
