I do think it was a mistake because they are currently buying it back at an extraordinary rate from the dev wallet

Update on the free AMA competition.
We eschewed from doing a poll as it could be botted but unfortunately even with the format we chose, some projects chose to fake engagement in their own favour therefore making it very hard for us to judge the winner.
