Default Profile Tab. You can choose which tab appears first when someone opens your profile – to highlight your gift collections or saved stories.

To change the default tab, go to Settings > My Profile, hold down on a tab and select 'Set as Main Tab'.

Gift Themes. Owners of certain collectible gifts can set dynamic chat wallpapers in 1-on-1 chats based on their unique gifts.

Gift themes incorporate each gift's attributes, like the model and backdrop.

One gift unlocks one theme for one chat. This currently works with Plush Pepes, Precious Peaches, Durov's Caps and Heart Lockets.

Upgrade Gifts for Other Users. You can send Stars to cover the cost of upgrading a gift on someone else's profile.

This lets you help friends who are low on Stars or didn't realize their gift could be upgraded.

To quickly see eligible gifts on someone's profile, use the 'Upgradeable' gift filter.

Gift Value. You can see a collectible gift's approximate resale price in its attributes.

If you tap to expand the 'Value' section, you can view more statistics about current prices and recent sales.

Comments and Reactions in Group Calls. Participants in group calls and video chats can send comments and reactions directly in the call interface.

These are temporary messages that briefly appear on the call screen – to share an emotion, quickly ask a question and more.

To send a comment, tap the 'Message' button. If you send just an emoji, people on the call will see an animated reaction.

Notes for Contacts. When adding or editing a Telegram contact, you can include a private note that is only visible to you.

To add someone as a contact, tap on their photo in any chat to open their profile and then tap Add to Contacts.

Bugs and Suggestions Mini App. Anyone can quickly report bugs or suggest features from inside any Telegram application with the @bugs mini app.

Live Stories. Every user can host a live stream in their Telegram story, where viewers can send comments and donate Stars to support content creators.

Live Stories can be launched from user accounts, as well as groups and channels that have unlocked posting Stories via boosts.

Live Stories give you the same granular privacy settings as other stories – visible to Everyone, Contacts, Close Friends or Selected Users.

Hosting Live Stories. Live Stories support RTMP keys for seamless integration with external apps.

Content creators can also set a price per comment in their live stories – and promote admins to help manage the chat.

To control comments, tap 'Live Settings' while streaming. For chat admins, give them the admin permission 'Manage Video Chats / Live Streams' in your group or channel.

Gift Auctions. Limited-edition Telegram Gifts are released in an auction-based system to ensure fair distribution.

Auctions allow you to place a bid with Stars. Gifts are then distributed to the highest bidders over several rounds.

Lower bids carry over into future rounds – and are instantly refunded after the final round if you don't win.

Passkeys. You can create a passkey on your device to instantly log in to Telegram with your PIN code or biometrics instead of an SMS code.

Passkeys work anywhere at any time, even if you don't have service – and can sync with password management apps.

To create a passkey, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Passkeys on any device. For more info on passkeys, check out our FAQ.

Log In With Passkeys. After creating a passkey on your device, you can use it to enter your account without an SMS code.

Unlike SMS codes, passkeys are always available – and don't rely on your phone number or service provider.

With a passkey you can still choose to log in via SMS – so make sure your account is registered to an active phone number that you control.
