The most intelligent men, like the strongest, find their happiness where others would find only disaster: in the labyrinth, in being hard with themselves and with others, in effort; their delight is in self mastery; in them asceticism becomes second nature, a necessity, an instinct. They regard a difficult task as a privilege; it is to them a recreation to play with burdens that would crush all others.

One can look straight in the Moon
One cant look straight in the Sun
There is Moonbathing
There is Sunbating
Moonlight is soft, feminine, nurturing
Sunlight is hard, masculine, energizing
Luna is Diana
Sol is Apollo
He is the sun
She is the moon

If You want me to take Christianity Seriously as a Religion instead of just as a political institution then you have to be capable of actually describing your religion accurately, the Church has had to rely on violence and bribery to get people into pews and keep them in line too often to be considered to be a valid choice of the people.
But stories and interactions of Santa Claus, Jack Frost and Thor quickly draw appreciation and a crowd. People care and adore their own gods and spirits, the foreign one is merely an obligation not a delight.

Returning to my previous post about the Oseberg beast posts and chains/ropes demarcating a ritual area, we also see in Egil’s saga reference to something called a vébönd. The prefix vé, cognate with Old English weoh, refers to a sacred area, while bönd, like band, refers to a cord. In the saga heslistengur “hazle poles” are used to demarcate a vébönd not for a blót, but for a legal dispute. Poles from the supple hazle tree (hasla) were used to demarcate a fighting area or for a court to assemble within.
Mark Puryear of the The Noroena Society has concluded, based on the inherently sacred meaning of vé, that the sacred area for a blót ought also to be marked out with hazle poles, and I am inclined to agree with him. Evidently more elaborate and impressive alternatives were accepted, such as the beast posts of Oseberg and the golden chain around the Uppsala hof described by Adam of Bremen - but surely the simplest demarcation for a vébönd is four hazle poles and a piece of a string.

Arktos and National Bolshevism, an announcement.
Arktos is a think tank that provides a platform for exploring various ideologies and perspectives from the Right. Among the numerous different ideas explored is National Bolshevism, a distinct right-wing ideology that has its roots in the Conservative Revolution during the tumultuous era of Weimar Germany. The Weimar period, after World War One and leading to the National Socialist rise to power, was a cauldron of political, economic, and cultural changes, making it ripe for the emergence of new and often contentious ideologies.
Ernst Niekisch, a prominent German intellectual during the interwar period, formulated the political ideology of National Bolshevism, which merged elements of radical nationalism and Bolshevik tenets. This philosophy was not just a simple fusion; it incorporated Niekisch’s admiration for Prussian values and principles. Advocating a...

"There is a class of men who communicate, to anyone whom they meet, matters which should be revealed to friends alone, and unload upon the chance listener whatever irks them. Others, again, fear to confide in their closest intimates; and if it were possible, they would not trust even themselves, burying their secrets deep in their hearts. But we should do neither. It is equally faulty to trust everyone and to trust no one. Yet the former fault is, I should say, the more ingenuous, the latter the more safe. In like manner you should rebuke these two kinds of men, – both those who always lack repose, and those who are always in repose. For love of bustle is not industry, – it is only the restlessness of a hunted mind. And true repose does not consist in condemning all motion as merely vexation; that kind of repose is slackness and inertia. Therefore, you should note the following saying, taken from my reading in Pomponius: "Some men shrink into dark corners, to such a degree that they see darkly by day." No, men should combine these tendencies, and he who reposes should act and he who acts should take repose. Discuss the problem with Nature; she will tell you that she has created both day and night. Farewell."

"I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man she must be quiet.”

"The Germans believe that those of the female sex posses an inherent sacredness and the wisdom for prophecy; and as such the men do not avoid asking advice of their women and nor do the men ignore when their women reply.”
― Germania, Tacitus
Notes: From a Gnostic viewpoint, acknowledging the inherent sacredness of the female sex, rooted in Wisdom, mirrors the significance of Sophia within the cosmic order. Just as Sophia embodies divine Wisdom and understanding, women can serve as channels for elevated spiritual insight and intuition. The imposition of the Abrahamic religions, which uphold an off planet male deity removed from the realm of senses disrupts our connection to the sacred Earth and nature. Simultaneously, it undermines the historical role of women in prophecy, insight, and Wisdom.

7th century gold coin minted by the Breton king Judicael, who ruled the minor Kingdom of Domnonée in northern Brittany from AD 615 to AD 642.
As is evident from the kingdom’s name, it was founded by British migrants from the Celtic Kingdom of Dumnonia, many of whom came as refugees escaping the Anglo-Saxon invasions. Dumnonia encompassed the greater part of the West Country of England, what are now Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and probably also Dorset and parts of Wiltshire. Before becoming king, Judicael was a Christian monk at the Abbey of St. John, at Gaël, Brittany. He was forced into this life by his younger brother Haeloc, who usurped the throne in a coup upon their father’s death. Following the death of Haeloc, Judicael returned to secular life to rule the kingdom, being remembered as a wise and just ruler. His reign was uneventful, as he opted for peace with his more powerful neighbor, king Dagobert I of France, through acceptance of the latter’s suzerainty. In the year AD 642, an elderly Judicael abdicated the throne and returned to monastic life at Gaël; he was later canonized as a saint.

De Falsis Diis (On False Gods) is an Anglo Saxon homily written by Ælfric of Eynsham around the turn of the 11th century.
In it, he claims that pagans would often sacrifice to Woden at crossroads:
"There once lived a man named Mercury, who was very deceitful, and, though quite wise in speech, was treacherous in actions and lies. The pagans, in their account, also made him their great god and often and frequently offered him sacrifices at crossroads, through the teachings of the devil, and to high hills they often brought various offerings of praise."
Crossroads are liminal spaces, associated with the veil between worlds and hanging/execution.
The Pagan belief carried on into Christian folklore where they are associated with the summoning of demons.

Amongst all the tribes of our world, the British peoples are a uniquely aquatic race. Of the diasporas that make up their stock (English, Irish, Welsh, Scottish and related admixtures) none reflect this as its highest virtue other than the English - from whose loins birthed the greatest seafaring Empire in mankind's history.
As the adage quotes: To honour we call, you as freemen not slaves, For who are so free as the sons of the waves?
