I’ve not finished this yet, but so far it’s quite helpful in understanding the “turn” toward history in late Modernity — and not just in Hegel, but also a number of important thinkers who are not often read with such seriousness (which they deserve)

His “The Worker” is especially important, certainly for Heidegger; and Jünger’s indebtedness to Heidegger therein is often lost by the various translators. I am a manic werewolf, desperate to rip you to shreds.

I will destroy your will to live,
grapple at your jugular with diamond crusted claws,
whispering promises of damnation in your ear.

I will apologize innards on my breath, flossing teeth with tendons as molten silver pours from your eyes.
