The God of the Road,
Opener of the Way,
Clever Tongued,
Cunning, Strange, and Wise.
Praise Him.
Today is a good day
to honor Mercurius,
Hermes, Who knows every path
and where they lead,
Who blesses thieves, magicians, and scholars.
Who bears the gift of healing,
and the challenge of mystic vision.
Winged Traveller,
Brilliance in motion,
implacable as thought
and genius
let us always praise You.
Let us bring You frankincense,
fruits, and rich red wine.
Let us adorn Your altar with gifts:
chocolate, cinnamon, coffee,
odd coins, pretty paper,
and the unchecked flow of
ancient tongues.
Let us give to You,
a sacrifice of roosters,
and kindness to strangers,
whose guise You may wear.
We shall praise You always,
pouring out offerings
with ready hands
and devoted hearts
and if this pleases You, Swiftness of the Gods,

Hel is a God who collects the woeful and forgotten, the lost ghosts of people who died unextraordinary deaths. Famine, Pestilence and the like. She takes them to her hall and gives them a time to rest their weary bones and for this she has their undying thanks.
For her they would fight the very gods themselves, be they little more than a rejuvenated debtor or pestilent afflicted pauper armed with fists and pitchforks they would fight Gods who slew armies of Nature Deities in bloody combat. What chance do they have?
But how could they choose anything else?
