Meet Olana Kenea from KAIM trainees and his Credit Scoring Model for a virtual Bank.
Ever wondered how banks decide who qualifies for a "buy now, pay later" service? Olana built an AI-powered system that helps classify customers as low-risk or high-risk borrowers, making lending safer and more efficient.
He used customer transaction patterns (how often they spend, how much, and when) to predict risk levels. He trained multiple AI models and fine-tuned them until the system reached an impressive 99.78% accuracy. To make it useful for real businesses, he built an API that delivers real-time risk predictions.
