미국 농무부의 통계에 따르면 이 항구를 통한 바나나 수입량은 미국 바나나 소비량의 25%를 차지합니다. 수입 체리의 90%가 이 항구를 통해 들어오고, 베리류와 기타 과일의 상당 부분도 이 항구를 통해 수입되고 있습니다
미국에서 소비되는 맥주의 18%는 수입산이며, 와인의 25~33%와 럼주의 90%도 수입산입니다. 그리고 이러한 수입품의 대부분은 동부 및 걸프 연안 항구를 통해 들어옵니다.
