Guesswork in Medicine
When you go to the doctor for help and treatment you probably assume that once he has decided what is wrong with you the doctor will automatically give you a treatment that is quite specific for your disease.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
With a very few exceptions there are no certainties in medicine. What you will get will depend more on chance and your doctor’s personal prejudices than on science.
This problem isn’t a new one, of course.
In the preface to The Doctor’s Dilemma, playwright George Bernard Shaw pointed out that during the first great epidemic of influenza which developed towards the end of the nineteenth century, a London evening newspaper sent a journalist posing as a patient to all the great consultants of the day.

Here in the UK we have been dealt some blows by the Government this last week or so with mandation of vaccines for care workers and talk of mandated vaccine passports for night clubs.
We need to show that we will stand for #MedicalFreedom and rise up across the country. This is a great opportunity to potentially have more people out on the streets than we ever have before as not everyone can get to London.
Lets make every one as big as possible and well done to everyone organising an event this week #WeWillALLBeThere

UK Nightclub Owners Say They'll Refuse To Enforce Vaccine Passports As A Condition Of Entry
UK government minister refuses to rule out same system for pubs.
However, the government’s plan to check vaccine status as a condition of entry for nightclubs was blasted by industry representatives, with some vowing to disobey the rules entirely.
Michael Kill, chief executive of the Night Time Industries Association, said: “The announcement from the prime minister that COVID passports will be made mandatory for nightclubs in September comes after his health secretary said only one week ago that they would not be compulsory. What an absolute shambles.”
“Leaving aside the fact that this is yet another chaotic U-turn that will leave nightclubs who have been planning for reopening for months will now have to make more changes to the way they operate – this is still a bad idea,” he added.
