Israel To Conduct Genetic Scanning Of All Arrivals For COVID
Israel is working on a system to conduct genetic scanning for all those who arrive in the country in order to better identify travelers infected with the coronavirus, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said at a cabinet meeting Sunday.
Bennett told ministers that the system will eventually be deployed at Ben Gurion Airport, the country’s main international terminus.
“We are working on a scanning system for everyone who comes into Israel,” Bennett said, according to comments from the meeting leaked to Hebrew media. “Israel will thus become the radar for the virus.”

The flu cases start to disappear and in 2020 – 2021 there are only ~1800 cases (flu cases used for covid)

Regulator approves Covid-19 pill study in South Africa
The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority has approved the study of an orally administered pill for patients with symptomatic Covid-19 who do not require hospital care.
The study is already ongoing in the US, with the expansion of study sites underway to further accelerate recruitment, said Nasdaq-listed RedHill Biopharma, a speciality biopharmaceutical company that is conducting the trial.
The trial is aimed at evaluating treatment in patients with symptomatic Covid-19 early in the course of the disease, with a simple once-daily oral treatment that can be prescribed and used in the largest non-hospitalised patient population, the group said. Read more
