Who is watching the Watchmen?

Adults can be held responsible. However children aren't all fully aware yet of the dangers and dealings of this world. Science shows their brains operate in a theta-frequency until the age of 7. They've not reached the ability to cognitively grasp a matter in its entirety. That is why society does not allow them to vote, smoke until a certain age. All matters requiring an acute sense of discernment in knowing right from wrong.

What we — as a society — are allowing to be done to these children, is on our heads. We ought to be the responsible party.

Here's the conundrum.

Even we — as a society today — have been indoctrinated with the Bertrand Russell vision of a yes-man-culture. We have been socially engineered to submit to authority. Few have the wherewithal to recognise it, let alone the meta-cognition to change the self. Learning early on, we were taught to answer boollean questions only. Either answer yes or no. Monkey puzzles are for monkeys. Instilling a whole construct of subtle psychological thinking patterns.

Whereas before we were taught how to question the question. Hold those in authority to account. Keeping check and balances in place so that we not only move forward collectively, but grow.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes
Who will watch the Watchmen?

Who will guard the guards themselves? To express Socrates' concerns about the guardians, the solution to which is to properly train their souls.

If the individual has freedom to grow, then so does the collective, which makes for a rich and civilised society.

I feel deeply burdened by the children deaths. The injustice of it weighs heavy on my heart. Hitting home more than the footy deaths and injury list, which made its rounds the other day.

What we don't disagree with, becomes silent consent. This by law carries equal weight to consenting in full.

I hope you all feel the injustice of this as I do and that it will stirr us to find solutions against the tyrrany.
