Despite Monday's parliamentary announcement, we aren't celebrating just yet!

We are still pushing forward and will not stop until there is no longer a threat of reintroducing requirements for vaccination to work ever again. The statements made by Government (Sajid Javid et al) are very cleverly worded to enable them to reopen at any point, they haven't actually said they will reverse it.. only review it! And even if they reverse it.... what does that really mean for you...?

Sajid Javid announced in parliament that they would be looking at new employment contracts, meaning that in order to get a new role in the health care sector you may well be required to be vaccinated. NHS staff have in the past had to reapply for their roles regularly for example change of job noscript, job role, moving department etc. Reapplying for existing or new roles happens very regularly and in future may well involve a vaccination clause. How many times has your noscript or contract changed? Are you going to have to sign a new contract after a re-structure or a change of circumstances/ end of term/ secondment/ new training etc?

Please note that whatever the government decides to do with their mandate policy (revoke; postpone; u-turn) doesn't mean that each of your employers/contract providers will therefore also revoke their own policies or keep you after a postponed period. Some will decide that the policy suits their organisation (just like other private and public employers have already done - such as local authorities, military, banks and the BBC).

Our continued action would mean that the employers/contract providers are held responsible for the unfair dismissals (some have already and many will still happen), harassment and bullying that so many Health care staff have felt they have been subjected to; regardless of whether the government withdraw the mandate or not.
We are not ok with our doctors, nurses, midwives etc etc being subjected to harassment and bullying in the work place. If you feel the same then now is the time to act and hold your employers to account.

If you're saying that the situation is really bad now, but do nothing for say six months, then your claim for discrimination/harassment may well be undermined. The courts/tribunals may well view it that the situation cannot have been too bad if you were prepared to put up with it for so long and say nothing because you were prepared to stay an extra few weeks/months etc.

As I say the time to act is now.

Unfortunately employers are free to set their own policies and therefore may well still go ahead with mandatory vaccination in spite of government revocation.

Our letter will deal directly with employers with the aim of permanently preventing such draconian measures.

Incidentally Mr Javid further announced that he would be contacting the regulatory bodies (eg GMC, NMC, GDC etc...)[Ref. C1575 below]. It may well be that they plan to make the vaccines compulsory to remain on their registers. We'll cross this bridge when and if we need to.

Update on Judicial Review challenge (in Belfast)

John J McNally & Co Solicitors are delighted to note that the Department of Health (NI) have formally confirmed, through their solicitors, that their Covid-19 vaccination programme within schools has been terminated, thereby removing the unacceptable risk that a healthy 12-15 year old child could receive a #Covid vaccine in the absence of their parents and, furthermore, in the absence of parental consent. Whilst the primary objective of our challenge has now been achieved, our substantive challenge against the ministerial decision to disregard the scientific advice of the JCVI will continue.

Unfortunately, the WHO (or World Health Organization) already has a different plan. The fact that everyone is suddenly backing away from restrictions is just a game. From today until 29.01.22, the WHO will hold an emergency meeting and deliberations in Geneva on expanding its ability to target (take over) all member states in the event of a pandemic and "any other type of threat or disaster." WHO wants member states to sign a new treaty on Covid-19, which expands the 2005 treaty. Once signed by the Minister of Health, the WHO constitution (as per Article 9 of the same) will take precedence over a country's constitution (189 countries have signed the 2005 treaty) during natural disasters or pandemics. Since the definition of pandemic was changed a few years ago, they will be able to impose obedience on any country and impose WHO guidelines on the public, which will be mandatory, not just recommended. And that sounds like power over the country and the world. A Swiss militant (Dr. Astrid Stuckelberger, who has worked for the WHO for 20 years) warns that every country should send a public letter of protest to the WHO, saying that the Irish people do not accept that the signature of the Minister of Health should decide the fate of millions of people without a referendum. It is very important to send this letter from every Country to WHO in Geneva. They want all countries to sign this letter before May 2022 so that time is counted. If you are a member of the Assembly, please send such a letter to WHO. Dr. Stuckelberger shared the information that so far only the Russians have sent such a social letter!!!!!!!
