Antoinette bought me a radio controlled car for my birthday. It is supposed to do around 35 mph. The snag is that on the box there is a label saying ‘suitable for 14-year-olds and older’. I am usually OK with stuff for up to five-year-olds but I’m going to have trouble with this. The back of our garage is stuffed with solar panels, garden equipment, etc. that remains a mystery to me.

The problem with the mass formation of standing with the abstract notion of a country, is that people are made to therefore stand with all the crimes committed by its government, crimes which in other circumstances people would condemn suddenly become justified and defended.

Anything goes, because what's most important is to signal to others that you are participating in the mass formation, and objectivity goes out of the window.

Even questions like: "who really started the war?" become off limits. Let alone any investigation into what happens to those who lobby for peace:
