🚨BREAKING - Kazakhstan Embassy in Ukraine to close down temporarily.

🇺🇸🇭🇹 - US-led intervention in Haiti would be the first US military intervention with troops on the ground since the Iraq war.

The scope of the intervention's goal will affect its chance of success. If the goal is limited to restore order, it will be easier to carry it out than if it turns into nation-building.

Haitian gangs are linked to Latin American cartels who themselves have good relations with leftist Latin-American presidents. The rhetoric from those rulers will be to be watched closely. They could reject such an intervention as US imperialism. They could low-key tolerate their cartels helping gangs against the US.

The United States has drafted a United Nations Security Council resolution that would support the deployment of a rapid action force to Haiti immediately as the country faces widespread crisis.
