I actually love this idea. It’s brilliant.
It neutralizes the blue-check elitists and the power they have over public opinion, by giving everyone the opportunity to be “verified”.
When everyone’s special, nobody’s special.
It also looks like this may be the path to a true online public forum with speech protected by the Constitution. Keeping it a serious environment, because there’s a fee to engage in public debate.
This also could be the path to a form of digital Direct Democracy.
