When I was a kid, I’d raid the pantry and eat an entire box of poptarts. When my mom confronted me, I’d give a little admission but blame most of it on my brother. “I had ONE package. I definitely didn’t eat the whole box.” With no evidence, my brother would be left holding the bag and get chewed out for what I had done.

By admitting some culpability, it’s easy to throw someone off the trail. “Slightly elevated risk of myocarditis and pericarditis” is dishonest. This is the establishment being forced to admit there is “some” risk without having to concede that people are dropping like flies because of this stuff. Don’t be fooled by the slight admissions you read in the media.
