🇲🇽Jalisco and Sinaloa cartels are Mexican customs’ main threats (report)

The illegal operations of the Jalisco Nueva Generación and Sinaloa cartels are the main threats to land customs security, reveal two confidential reports of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) and the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, which are part of the documents hacked by the Guacamaya group.

The civilian-military X-ray of the customs situation warns of other vulnerabilities, such as corruption, smuggling, arms and illicit substances, and even the activities of alleged "huachicoleros". It also addresses the flow of operations in transnational parcel companies, which sometimes serve to traffic illegal goods.

The military analysis warns that the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation has its main centers of operation in Jalisco and Nayarit, where federal security authorities have identified clandestine laboratories in the territorial circumnoscription of the Guadalajara customs office, inferring a risk to the facilities in terms of the distribution of synthetic drugs by this criminal organization. It also highlights that Jalisco is one of the states with the highest rate of railroad robbery.

It states that the city known as the Perla Tapatía is part of the distribution route of illicit merchandise destined for northern cities (domestic couriers). "It has courier and parcel delivery facilities with a considerable volume of operations, such as DHL, the most used, FedEx, UPS, among others, which have been an important part in the transfer of fentanyl and its precursors".
