Hours before Colorado shooting, a Salt Lake City LGBTQ+ club celebrated trans lives. Now, it’s upping security.
The Salt Lake City club has since implemented additional security measures to protect patrons and staff, following the late Saturday mass shooting at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub much like it in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“Now, the club is installing a metal detector at the club’s entrance — the same device that owner Michael Repp said he once used at The Sun Trapp… I think now we know that we are indeed a targeted community.”
