🔹The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating a hack on its own computer network, according to CNN.
🔹The FBI said it is "aware of the incident and is working to gain additional information." The agency has not yet confirmed where, how much, or how long the hostile behavior went undetected and unchecked.
🔹FBI officials believe the malicious cyber activity involved a computer system in its New York office that is used in investigations of images of child sexual abuse.
🔹On Thursday, the Justice Department had revealed that it had established a “strike squad” to target foreign hackers who attempt to steal American technological secrets. It is reported that the FBI is a part of the anti-hacking hack squad, which will include offices in 12 different U.S. cities.

The U.S. military is testing high altitude, solar-powered balloons allowing the Pentagon to conduct continuous surveillance of a wide swath of the Midwest, according to a new report.
The Guardian reported that the program is detailed in documents filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), showing that the military is sending the balloons flying across six states at altitudes of up to 65,000 feet.
"We should not go down the road of allowing this to be used in the United States and it's disturbing to hear that these tests are being carried out, by the military no less."
