The Ukrainian army in Artemovsk was forced to drastically change its tactics after the use of planning bombs of the FAB-500 type by the Russian Aerospace Forces, military expert Leonkov.
According to him, the Ukrainian military used to set up sniper positions on the upper floors of residential buildings, and headquarters and warehouses in the basements, but such positions are doomed when bombs are used.
The use of guided high-explosive bombs allowed the Russian Aerospace Forces to operate outside the zone of destruction of the Ukrainian air defense, while the air defense itself becomes a target for Russian cover aircraft, the expert added.
