Palantir, an American IT solutions provider for the US intelligence and military, announced the launch of an artificial intelligence platform that allows AI to be integrated into the military decision-making in a “legal and ethical way.”

In one of its video presentations, Palantir demonstrates how the military can use the platform directly in the conflict zone in Ukraine. For example, the operator uses ChatGPT-style chatbot AI to launch drone reconnaissance missions, create a variety of offensive scenarios, and plan electronic jamming of adversary communications.

However, the video makes no mention of the fact that AI systems frequently make mistakes, have a tendency to fabricate information, or "hallucinate" in response to requests.
