NEW: Governor Greg Abbott Announces ‘Texas Tactical Border Force’
Governor Abbott announced Texas will deploy up to 10,000 National Guard members and 1,200 Texas Department of Public Safety troopers. He says the state is creating the “Texas Tactical Border Force,” which will consist of specially trained National Guard members deployed to “hot spots” to intercept, repel, and turn back migrants who try to enter the U.S. illegally.
